Job summary

Pearce Services in Worcester, Massachusetts is seeking an Entry Level Field Maintenance Technician to help keep critical facilities, equipment, and renewable energy sites running safely. This role involves travel, with 100% time on site at customer locations, and a pathway into solar, storage, HVAC, and power systems as you gain experience.

You will receive training, work with hands-on electrical and mechanical systems, and join a team that values quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year of maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or a related field preferred—or completion of a trade school program.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% following Pearce’s 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule.
• Interest in mechanical and electrical systems with hands-on problem solving.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment to identify issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and other equipment as needed.
• Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization.
• Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and follow company safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
