Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking a Field Maintenance Technician to support maintenance, repair, and installation at renewable energy and critical infrastructure sites across North America.

The role offers hands-on work with mechanical and electrical systems, travel up to 100%, and opportunities to grow into specialized careers in solar, battery storage, HVAC, and power generation. Strong problem-solving and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance.
• Interest in electrical systems and safe operation of equipment.
• Dependable, adaptable, and willing to jump in where needed.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and safety protocols.
• 1 year of maintenance/related experience or completion of a trade program.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% on Pearce’s rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and other equipment as needed.
• Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization.
• Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and follow company safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
