Job summary

Pearce is seeking an entry-level Field Maintenance Technician in Charlotte, NC. You'll perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment at warehouses, shops, and commercial solar and battery energy storage sites, with hands-on training and opportunities to advance into solar, HVAC, and power systems.

This role requires travel up to 100% following Pearce's rotational schedule; base pay ranges from $23 to $25 per hour (DOE) with comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or a related field preferred—or completion of a trade school program.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% following Pearce's 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform in warehouses, shops, and outdoor sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and other equipment.
• Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization.
• Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at solar and storage sites.
