Job summary

Pearce is seeking an Entry Level Field Maintenance Technician to support maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment across various sites in North America. The role emphasizes hands-on learning and development in renewable energy and critical infrastructure.

You will travel to commercial solar farms, battery energy storage sites, and other facilities, with comprehensive training and opportunities for advancement in solar, HVAC, and power systems.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or a related field preferred—or completion of a trade school program.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% following Pearce’s 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule.
• You enjoy figuring out how things work and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty.
• You have strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in electrical systems.
• You're dependable, adaptable, and willing to jump in wherever the team needs you.
• You take pride in quality work and in maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and other equipment as needed.
• Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization.
• Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
