Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Wisconsin team. No experience is required, as you will learn under supervision with paid training and support to obtain certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety.

You will conduct field sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, and concrete on project sites, coordinate with senior technicians, and contribute to data collection and reporting while developing professional skills.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills, reading and writing.
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Observe, test, and sample materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) at project sites under supervision.
• Testing Procedures: Perform routine field/lab tests following industry standards and equipment protocols.
• Data Collection: Calcualte and summarize test results; assist with drafting and admin duties as requested.
• Communication: Daily liaison with site contractors and project managers; report changing conditions.
• Training and Development: Receive ECS methodology training and document findings precisely.
