Job summary

ECS Limited is hiring a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Milwaukee team. No experience is required as you will work under experienced professionals to learn testing and safety procedures.

You will conduct field and lab tests on soils, aggregates, and concrete, and assist with data collection and reporting. We provide paid training, and opportunities to obtain certifications such as OSHA 10, ASTM standards, and other state DOT certifications as you progress in

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and applications, as well as ASTM laboratory standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) on project sites under guidance of senior staff.
• Perform routine field and laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete per industry standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and assist with drafting and administrative duties as requested.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians and project managers; report changes to supervisor.
