ECS Group of Companies in Milwaukee is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our team. No experience is required as you will be trained and mentored by seasoned professionals.

You will conduct field tests on soils, aggregates, and concrete, collect data, and communicate with project managers. Certifications and OSHA training are encouraged, with support to obtain CMT-related credentials.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of heavy construction safety, practices and procedures.
• Willing to obtain knowledge of CMT principles and ASTM standards leading to certifications.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work with contractors, peers and supervisors.

Responsabilités

• Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials including soils, aggregates, and concrete on project sites; execute tasks under guidance of senior technicians and project managers.
• Testing Procedures: Perform field and laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete following industry standards.
• Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction from sampling and test results; assist with calculations and drafting as requested.
• Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors and project managers; report changing site conditions and testing needs; attend project meetings as requested.
• Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings precisely.
