Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a hardworking Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Pittsburgh team. No experience is required as you’ll be trained by seasoned professionals to safely perform a variety of field tasks.

Responsibilities include field observation, testing soils/aggregates/concrete, data collection, and active communication with site teams. Training programs and potential certifications will be provided.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
No experience necessary; on‑the‑job training provided.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

Field Activities: Observe, test, and sample materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) at project sites under supervision.
Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards.
Data Collection: Calculate and document test results; assist with calculations and administrative duties as needed.
Communication: Maintain daily contact with contractors, technicians, and project managers; relay site changes and requests.
Training and Development: Learn ECS methodology for observations, inspections, and testing; document findings precisely.
