Job summary

ECS Limited seeks a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Columbus team. No experience is required as you will be guided by senior staff to learn testing, sampling, and observation procedures on construction sites.

You will perform field and lab tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete, collect data, and communicate findings to project managers. Training and certification opportunities are provided, with OSHA 10 and other programs encouraged.

Qualifications

• No experience required for the role.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: observe, test, and sample materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) at sites under supervision.
• Conduct routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards.
• Perform data collection and basic calculations from sampling and test results.
• Communicate with site contractors and project managers; report changing conditions and requests.
• Receive training in ECS methods for observations and testing and document findings precisely.
