Job summary

ECS Limited in Aberdeen, MD is hiring a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician. No experience is required; you will learn under experienced professionals and receive paid training along with certification fee coverage.

You will conduct field activities, perform tests on soils, aggregates, and concrete, collect data, and communicate site conditions to project managers. This role offers growth through hands-on learning and formal training programs.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to obtain knowledge of CMT principles and applications, as well as ASTM laboratory standards, leading to certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete on project sites.
• Perform routine field or lab tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete using standard methods.
• Collect data and perform calculations based on sampling and test results.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Receive training in ECS methods and document findings precisely.
