Job summary

Batteries Plus is seeking an entry-level Device Repair Technician to support corporate and franchise stores through basic device repairs and remote technical support. The role involves repair work on smartphones, tablets, and other electronics, plus training, inventory documentation, and shipping coordination.

The position emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and team-based collaboration in a mixed office/lab environment. Occasional lifting may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience with device repair or technical support is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate repairs on devices based on priority.
• Provide remote support for in-store repairs using live camera sessions.
• Assist in teardown and reassembly of devices under supervision.
• Receive, pack, and ship devices according to workflow and shipping schedules.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
• Participate in live training observations to build repair knowledge and technique.
• Assist with technical training activities, including photos, repair steps, and video support.
• Contribute to written documentation for common device repair activities as needed.
• Support weekly cycle counts to ensure accurate device parts inventory levels.
• Maintain accurate records of repair activity and shipping details.
• Communicate repair status and shipping information to store teams.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to management as needed.
• Maintain high standards of problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
