Job summary

Batteries Plus Bulbs is seeking a device repair technician to fix cell phones, tablets, and other devices in-store and help launch the device repair function within Batteries+Bulbs. The associate will also work in the standard Batteries Plus retail environment.

The role includes repairing devices, receiving and shipping units, building training materials, maintaining inventory, and assisting with training of store staff while following PPE safety rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma/equivalent plus 3-6+ months of device repair experience.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude; able to learn new processes quickly without heavy guidance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, oral and written; able to inform and train others.
• Position requires frequent use of hands to handle electronic products and computers; PPE must be worn.
• Lift 10-20 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally, over 50 lbs infrequently.

Responsibilities

• Repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices as needed.
• Receive, pack and ship these devices.
• Develop written procedures and technical videos for common device repair activities.
• Maintain proper inventory.
• Participate in formal training of store associates; assist with video training production.
