Job summary

Batteries Plus Bulbs is seeking a device repair technician to fix cell phones, tablets, and other devices and to support launching the device repair function in stores. The role also involves working in the standard Batteries Plus retail environment.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma and 3–6+ months of repair experience, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to teach others. You will operate in a team setting with safety rules and PPE in place.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or equivalent with 3–6+ months device repair experience.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to learn new processes quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and prioritization, with meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices as needed.
• Receive, pack and ship devices; maintain inventory.
• Develop written procedures and video training for repair activities.
• Assist with training store associates on device teardown and installation.

Job description

Based pay is $14.50 an hour plus commission on every screen and battery device repair. Tech also receives regular Batteries Plus Commission on Key Fob battery and program installs, car battery installs and other easy bonuses.

Batteries Plus Bulbs has a NEW & UNIQUE device repair technician opportunity for you! Batteries Plus Bulbs is looking for a person that is able to repair cell phones, tablets, light fixtures, and other devices as needed. As well as, support the start-up of the device repair function within Batteries+Bulbs. Associate will also work in the standard Batteries Plus retail store environment.

Device Repair Technician Duties:

• Repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices as needed
• Receive, pack and ship these devices
• Develop written procedures and technical videos for common device repair activities
• Maintain proper inventory
• Participate in formal training of store associates to include tearing down devices, taking photos, assisting with video training production.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Device Repair Technician Qualifications:

• Minimum H.S. diploma/equivalent plus 3-6+ months of previous device repair experience.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude. Able to quickly pick up on new processes and technologies without a lot of guidance
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and track multiple commitments; effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, both oral and written. Strong customer service focus. Ability to inform, teach, and train
• This position requires the employee to regularly use hands to handle or touch electronic products The position also requires the employee to regularly use a computer and other office equipment
• This position requires lifting 10-20lbs on a regular and frequent basis, 50lbs on an occasional basis, and more than 50lbs on an infrequent basis.
