Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician in Maumee, Ohio to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center equipment. This entry-level role offers hands-on learning in staging, cabling, labeling, inventory control, and documentation within a collaborative delivery team.

You will follow procedures, assist with rack prep and MACD activities under supervision, and contribute to safety and quality standards while building foundational technical skills in data center

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred or technical certification understood.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, or data center infrastructure.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and follow detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation/data entry.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with experienced colleagues and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment, consumables, and cabling.
• Perform basic inventory checks and update tracking systems.
• Assist with rack positioning, leveling, and prep under supervision.
• Install rack accessories and PDUs as directed.
• Support rack-and-stack activities and MACD tasks under guidance.
• Perform basic copper and fiber patching per port maps.
• Route and dress cabling following standards and labeling conventions.
• Document equipment serial numbers, rack locations, and installation records.
