Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician in Cleveland, OH to support installation, operation, and maintenance of data center equipment in hyperscale and enterprise environments. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and a clear path to develop technical skills in infrastructure and field services.

You will work with a team to stage gear, manage inventory, perform cabling and labeling, and document activities using standard templates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, telecommunications equipment, networking, or data center infrastructure.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling concepts is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment, consumables, and cabling.
• Perform basic inventory checks against packing lists and update inventory tracking systems.
• Assist with rack positioning, leveling, and physical preparation under supervision.
• Install rack accessories such as cable managers, blanking panels, and pre-configured PDUs.
• Support rack-and-stack activities by lifting, aligning, and securing equipment per procedures.
• Perform basic copper and fiber patching using predefined maps and instructions.
• Route and dress cabling per standards.
• Capture serial numbers, rack locations, photos, and installation records.
• Execute MACD activities under guidance of seniors.
• Perform routine visual inspections and escalate issues promptly.
• Follow safety, MOPs, and quality standards at all times.
