Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician to join our field services team in Ohio. This entry‑level role supports installation, operation, and maintenance of data center equipment in hyperscale and enterprise environments.

You will perform hands‑on tasks, document installation records, and learn industry best practices under experienced colleagues. You will stage equipment, manage cabling, and assist with rack setup, patching, labeling, and moves.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, or data center infrastructure.
• Familiarity with copper/fiber cabling is a plus.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and use basic hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment and cabling.
• Perform basic inventory checks against packing lists.
• Assist with rack positioning and prep under guidance.
• Install rack accessories and PDUs as instructed.
• Support rack-and-stack by lifting and aligning equipment.
• Perform basic copper and fiber patching per maps and instructions.
• Route and tidy cabling per standards and color codes.
• Record serial numbers, rack locations, and installation records.
• Execute MACD moves under senior supervision.
• Conduct routine visual inspections and escalate issues.
