Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician in Ohio. This entry-level role supports installation, operation, and maintenance of data center equipment, offering hands-on experience with staging, cabling, labeling, and documentation.

Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking.
Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling concepts.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions.

Responsibilities

Receive, unpack, and stage equipment, consumables, and cabling in designated areas.
Perform basic inventory checks against packing lists and update inventory tracking systems.
Assist with rack positioning, leveling, and physical preparation under guidance of seniors.
Install rack accessories such as cable managers, blanking panels, and pre-configured PDUs.
Support rack-and-stack activities by lifting, aligning, and securing equipment per procedures.
Perform basic copper and fiber patching using port maps and installation instructions.
Route and dress cabling according to standards and conventions.
Capture serial numbers, rack locations, photos, and installation records using templates.
Execute MACD activities under senior supervision.
Conduct routine visual inspections and escalate issues as needed.
Follow MOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards.
