Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician in Ohio to support installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment in hyperscale data centers. This entry-level role involves staging, rack preparation, cabling, labeling, and documentation, while learning industry best practices alongside experienced colleagues.

Youll perform MACD moves, basic copper/fiber patching, and routine inspections under supervision. Strong safety focus and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware or data center infrastructure is valued.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling concepts is a plus.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and follow written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Good teamwork and willingness to learn from senior staff.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment and cabling.
• Perform basic inventory checks and update tracking systems.
• Assist with rack positioning and physical prep under guidance.
• Install rack accessories and support MACD activities.
• Route and dress cabling per standards and port maps.
• Capture serial numbers, locations, and installation records.
• Follow procedures and safety/quality guidelines at all times.
