Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment within hyperscale and enterprise data center environments.

This entry‑level role is ideal for individuals starting a career in data center operations, telecommunications, or technical infrastructure. You will perform hands‑on tasks such as staging, rack preparation, cabling, labeling, inventory management, and documentation, while learning industry best practices

Qualifications

• Entry-level role suitable for career starters in data center operations.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and telecommunications equipment.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling is a plus.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Willingness to learn from colleagues and follow safety standards.
• Prior data center exposure is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment and cabling.
• Run basic inventory checks against packing lists.
• Assist with rack positioning and physical prep under guidance.
• Install rack accessories like PDUs and cable managers.
• Support rack-and-stack tasks by lifting and aligning equipment.
• Perform basic copper and fiber patching per port maps.
• Route and dress cabling according to standards.
• Apply labels to racks, ports, and cabling.
• Record serial numbers, rack locations, and installation data.
• Execute MACD activities under supervision.
• Conduct routine visual inspections and escalate issues.
• Follow SOPs, safety, and quality standards.
