Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician to join our data center operations team in Ohio.

This entry-level role will involve hands-on tasks such as staging equipment, rack preparation, cabling, labeling, and documentation to support hyperscale and enterprise environments. You will work with a collaborative team, following procedures and safety standards while developing technical skills for growth in data center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and data center infrastructure.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling concepts is a plus.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and follow detailed work instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation/data entry.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment, consumables, and cabling.
• Perform basic inventory checks against packing lists and update tracking systems.
• Assist with rack positioning and prepping under guidance of senior staff.
• Install rack accessories like cable managers and PDUs.
• Support rack-and-stack activities and perform MACD tasks under supervision.
• Conduct routine visual inspections and escalate issues per SOPs.
