Job summary

PFG Customized in Kendallville, IN is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn to operate tractor trailers or straight trucks on local and interstate routes. You will complete required training, work early morning shifts, and deliver food products safely under DOT regulations.

The role pays $20.00 per hour with a 4- or 5-day work week, and comes with benefits starting Day 1, plus opportunities for growth in a food distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.
• CDL A Permit required.
• No prior experience needed for Driver Trainee position.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
• Ride with and assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and report issues.
• Drive to deliver customer orders according to route schedule.
• Unload products, verify delivery, collect signatures and assist with paperwork.
