Job summary

PFG Customized is seeking an entry level driver trainee to learn tractor trailer and straight truck routes intrastate or interstate. You will complete safety checks, assist trainers, and deliver food products on a local to overnight schedule, maintaining compliance with DOT rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Must hold a valid CDL A license and DOT Health Card.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and ability to pass drug test.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to meet state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete entry level driver trainee or dock-to-driver training.
• Ride with a driver trainer and assist with deliveries as required.
• Perform pre/post trip safety checks and inspections per DOT.
• Drive to deliver customer orders on a predetermined route.
• Unload items, verify deliveries and obtain signatures where required.
• Maintain daily hours-of-service records and keep equipment clean.
