Job summary

PFG Customized in Mansfield, OH is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck on local and interstate routes to deliver food products. You will train through the company program and perform safety checks in alignment with DOT regulations.

No prior driving experience is required, but a CDL A Permit is required and you must be able to pass tests. Competitive pay, Day 1 benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent is required.
• CDL A Permit is required and must be valid.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to meet state licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years; pass post-offer drug test and road test; DOT Health Card in place.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride with and assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform pre/post-trip safety inspections and report issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; secure loads and complete required paperwork.
• Deliver customer orders on schedule; unload, verify invoices and collect signatures as needed.
• Ensure equipment is secured; complete daily hours of service logs; maintain housekeeping.
