Job summary

PFG Customized Distribution seeks an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor trailer and straight truck operations across local, intrastate and interstate routes, including overnight schedules. You will deliver and unload food products to customers while adhering to safety and DOT regulations.

Training is provided; CDL-A is required. Benefits begin Day 1, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Growth opportunities exist within a supportive, safety-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL A license required.
• 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• DOT Health Card current.
• Pass post-offer drug test.
• Pass road test.
• External Entry Level Hire: 0-6 months CDL experience; Internal candidates may have paths to CDL.
• Able to lift 60-90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
• Ride with driver trainer and assist deliveries.
• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspect trailer, load, and paperwork; move tractor to loading dock.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to schedule.
• Unload products and obtain customer signatures; handle returns as needed.
• Complete daily hours of service log and related paperwork.
• Maintain clean tractor, dock area, and secure equipment.
