Job summary

Birge & Held in Camby, IN is seeking a Service Technician I to support daily maintenance across an apartment community. You will perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general repairs, respond to work orders, and help ensure resident satisfaction.

This role requires basic HVAC knowledge, EPA refrigerant handling certification preferred, OSHA familiarity, a valid driver's license, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. On-site with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Formal technical training or equivalent in heating and air conditioning.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Travel between properties requires valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and common areas for safety and condition.
• Perform basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Complete work orders within 48 hours unless emergency.
• Ensure unit turnovers within five working days.
• Provide on-site maintenance and coordinate with operations team.
