Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students across elementary to high school levels. You will plan and monitor progress, support teachers with instruction, and contribute to a positive classroom environment.

This entry-level, paid, full-time role includes 2–4 weeks of initial training and is designed to promote academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors in collaboration with school staff.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching or mentoring students is a plus.
• Ability to work with diverse student groups.
• Willingness to participate in 2-4 weeks of training.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group student coaching.
• Support literacy and math activities.
• Assist classroom instruction and student engagement.
• Monitor and record student progress in City Year data systems.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support school initiatives.
