Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students in elementary to high school settings, with a focus on academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors. You will plan and monitor individual student progress and collaborate with teachers during class activities and small group sessions.

The role includes 2–4 weeks of initial training and ongoing support from partner teachers and school staff throughout the year, with benefits typical of City Year AmeriCorps positions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in educational settings is helpful.
• Ability to support classroom instruction and student engagement.
• Willingness to participate in training and work with teachers.
