Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking a senior account executive to drive revenue by selling transaction tax solutions across a defined territory in the United States.

You will develop strategies, account plans, and navigate multi-department organizations to position Vertex as the enterprise-wide tax solution. Responsibilities include building executive-level relationships, understanding customer business and tax needs, responding to RFPs, and collaborating with partners to close large-scale opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business; fifteen (15) years plus of experience in outside sales of transaction tax software (sales tax/consumer use tax/VAT) required.
• Strong track record of relationship development and business development experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of Vertex or comparable transaction tax software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue for Vertex by selling Vertex transaction tax solutions in a defined territory.
• Includes targeting specific accounts, developing strategy, gaining a clear understanding of companies' tax environments, and selling Vertex solutions that best fit such requirements.
• Drive opportunities at the strategic and tactical level by selling the enterprise-wide value proposition to the highest levels within customers’ organizations.
