Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking a high-impact Account Executive to drive revenue through strategic sales of Vertex tax solutions across a defined territory. You will map accounts, uncover business needs, and articulate enterprise-wide value to C-suite stakeholders.

You will develop tailored solutions, build lasting relationships, collaborate with consulting teams, and respond to RFPs to win multi-department opportunities. Strong tax software experience and a proven closing track are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business.
• 15+ years outside sales experience in transaction tax software.
• Proven track record of relationship development and business development.
• Experience selling software/consulting services to mid- or senior-level decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by selling Vertex tax solutions in a defined territory.
• Develop strategy and account plans to penetrate the territory.
• Sell the enterprise-wide value proposition to the highest levels within customers.
• Build long-term relationships and account plans for new and existing customers.
• Respond to RFPs and develop joint proposals with Vertex Consulting.
• Foster partnerships between Vertex, customers, and partners.
