Job summary

Smartsheet Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Technical Solutions Engineer to guide technical strategy throughout the sales process.

This remote role (US west coast preferred or east coast) collaborates with sales to align customer needs with Smartsheet API, SSO, and third-party integrations, driving high-value outcomes. You will build PoCs, create architecture diagrams, and respond to complex opportunities, while surfacing product feedback to Engineering and participating in customer-focused events

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or in a SaaS/enterprise software role.
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience with APIs and standard authorization protocols (OAuth2, SAML/SSO, OpenID).
Experience with event-based workflow and automation concepts.
Familiarity with MEDDIC or SVS sales methodologies is a plus.
Willing to travel periodically.
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with sales/presales to develop solution proposals and deliver maximum value.
Serve as a technical resource for Presales including Smartsheet API, Premium Applications, SSO/SAML, and third-party APIs.
Respond to SERs via Salesforce for complex opportunities, including API integrations and enterprise architecture validation.
Build proof-of-concepts to demonstrate Smartsheet capabilities to customers.
Create solution diagrams that articulate technical architecture and requirements.
Advise on what can be done with Smartsheet and other tools to solve customer needs.
Assist with technical questions for customer RFPs.
Develop new integrations and solutions to address gaps and deliver value.
Provide field insights to Product/Engineering as a feedback loop.
Co-present at Smartsheet Summits on governance, integrations, security, and automations.
Contribute to internal docs and enablement materials.
