Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced pre-sales engineer to collaborate with enterprise accounts, notably Verizon, to design solutions that meet business and technical needs. You will articulate integration strategies and own the technical relationship with customers.

You will coordinate with Sales, deliver proofs-of-concept, and help shape WLN/WLS deployments across portfolios while traveling to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
• Four+ years in tech industry, pre-sales, customer-facing, consulting or similar
• Experience architecting software/infrastructure for scalable systems
• Experience with LAN/WAN or large infrastructure for enterprise
• Knowledge of data and information security and cloud IT technologies
• Willingness to travel and valid driver’s license
• Primary/domain strength in WLN or WLS, willing to ramp up in the other area
• Preferred MA/MS in engineering or CS; AWS Solutions Architect, CCSK, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCDA/CCNA, ITIL Foundations

Responsibilities

• Build long-term relationships within enterprise accounts
• Work with Sales teams to identify and qualify opportunities
• Design solutions addressing customer business and technical challenges
• Own the technical relationship with Verizon customers
• Manage briefings, PoCs, and coordination of technical resources
• Create customer solutions leveraging Verizon product integrations
• Articulate Verizon Enterprise technology vision to clients
• Lead prioritization of customer solution and requirements
• Travel to client sites and conferences as required
