Job summary

Handshake is seeking a Support Specialist, Contractor to provide expert email, phone, and video support for employer, student, and career services users. This 6-month contract emphasizes technical enterprise support and relationship-building with customers from startups to large brands.

You will work with our Support Team to unblock users, share trends with cross-functional teams, and continuously improve customer experience.

Qualifications

• Location: must be located in the United States per the stated constraints.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to learn technical tools and concepts quickly.
• Comfort with change and ambiguity in a growing startup.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide email and phone support to Handshake customers.
• Resolve 20–30 email tickets per day and 10 calls in a 4-hour shift.
• Collaborate with Support, Success, Product and Engineering teams to improve processes.
• Maintain high response and resolution times and steady queue equity.
• Flex across support queues including Trust and Safety and Handshake AI.
