Job summary

Sentara Health in the United States is seeking an Enterprise Resilience professional to strengthen the organization’s ability to anticipate, withstand, respond to, and recover from disruptions across cyber, IT, operations, and third-party risk.

This hands-on role collaborates with Cyber Security, IT, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity to translate resilience risks into clear actions and measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CBCP, CRISC, or Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years IT program or project management.
• Five+ years in enterprise resilience, cyber resilience, disaster recovery, or business continuity.
• Experience planning or supporting disaster recovery tests, tabletop exercises, or incident response activities.
• Ability to connect technical recovery capabilities to business outcomes.
• Strong project coordination with multiple workstreams and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication to technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve the Enterprise Resilience Program with governance, standards, procedures, and reporting.
• Identify Critical Business Services and map people, processes, tech, data, facilities, and third parties.
• Define recovery objectives and priorities with business/tech owners.
• Plan, coordinate resilience assessments, tabletop exercises, and DR tests.
• Track findings, risks, owners, due dates, and corrective actions to closure.
• Enhance backups and recovery capabilities (Rubrik, Azure, SQL, Veeam).
• Improve ransomware-resilient recovery and isolated recovery environments.
• Coordinate disaster recovery exercises across teams to validate recoverability.
