Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an Enterprise Resilience professional to strengthen the organization’s ability to anticipate, withstand, respond to, recover from, and adapt to disruptions. You will partner across Cyber Security, IT, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity to validate recovery capabilities and drive improvements.

The role involves governance, playbooks, metrics, and executive-ready reporting, with a focus on healthcare operations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in IT program or project management.
• Five or more years in enterprise resilience, cyber resilience, or related fields.
• Experience planning or supporting disaster recovery exercises.
• Ability to map technical recovery to business outcomes and communicate risks clearly.
• Knowledge of healthcare or regulated environments is preferred.
• Experience documenting risks and remediation actions in auditable form.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain Critical Business Services with dependencies.
• Define impact tolerances, recovery objectives, and priorities with owners.
• Plan and document resilience assessments, tabletop exercises, and DR tests.
• Track findings, risks, owners, due dates, and actions through closure.
• Enhance backup/recovery capabilities across tools and platforms.
• Develop dashboards and executive reporting on readiness and progress.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure recoverability and resilience maturity.
