Job summary

Sentara Health seeks an Enterprise Resilience professional to strengthen the organization’s ability to anticipate, withstand, respond to, recover from, and adapt to cyber, technology, and operational disruptions.

You will partner with Cyber Security, IT, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and vendor management to establish resilience standards, validate recovery capabilities, track gaps, and drive measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in IT program/project management.
• Five+ years in enterprise resilience, cyber resilience, disaster recovery, or related discipline.
• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain Critical Business Services and map dependencies across people, processes, tech, data, facilities, and third parties.
• Define and validate impact tolerances, RTOs, RPOs, minimum service levels, and recovery priorities.
• Plan and document resilience assessments, BIAs, tabletop exercises, DR tests, cyber recovery exercises, and simulations.
• Track findings, risks, owners, due dates, and corrective actions; escalate material gaps.
• Enhance backup and recovery capabilities with Rubrik, Azure-native backups, SQL backups, and Veeam.
• Improve ransomware-resilient recovery with immutable backups, clean-point validation, and secure restoration workflows.
• Build isolated recovery environments and automate restoration testing.
• Coordinate DR exercises across IT and business teams to validate recoverability.
• Coordinate cyber, business, and enterprise tabletop exercises for decision making.
• Support containment, response, and recovery during disruptive events.
• Assess third‑party resilience for critical services; develop dashboards and executive reporting.
• Create clear technical and business documentation and repeatable processes.
• Promote resilience awareness among stakeholders.
