Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking an Engineer III/Senior Engineer to serve as a System Protection and Control SME. The role focuses on development of standards and templates for protection and control of relays, reclosers, and switchgear within the DPAC Enterprise Standards team.

You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating across teams to advance enterprise standards and training materials. The incumbent will perform hands-on testing in relay labs, field commissioning, and factory acceptance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree.
• Professional Engineer licensure may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop standards, guides, and templates for system protection & control and automation of relays, reclosers, and switchgear.
• Create protection & control standard settings, logic, and templates for distribution.
• Support enterprise protection and control standards and related artifacts.

ABET-accredited engineering degree

Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
