Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Staff+ Platform Engineer for its Enterprise pillar, building Claude for Fortune 500-scale deployments. You’ll shape the multi-cloud architecture, define platform primitives for identity, permissions, and governance, and act as a primary technical decision-maker with executives and security teams.

The role requires deep expertise in distributed systems, API design, and cross-team leadership, with a focus on secure, scalable enterprise deployment and governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience at Staff level or equivalent
• Strong distributed systems and API architecture expertise
• Proven ability to write design docs, make architectural calls, and code in critical paths
• Experience shaping technical strategy at large-scale Enterprise SaaS or Cloud providers
• Ability to influence across GTM, Platform, Inference, Infrastructure, Privacy, and Safeguards teams

Responsibilities

• Define and drive multi-year technical strategy for foundational enterprise systems, including distributability and multi-cloud direction
• Lead the highest-complexity engineering initiatives across teams
• Serve as primary technical decision-maker for major architectural choices
• Design platform primitives: identity, permissions, governance, connectivity and usage data
• Collaborate with Inference, Platform, Customer Success and Safeguards on security, privacy and deployment
• Mentor senior engineers and align Product, GTM, and Customer Success on technical risk management
