Qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering experience in senior staff roles.

• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with Research, Inference, Platform, and Safeguards.
• Proficient in distributed systems and API architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive multi-year technical strategy for the Claude API across API Core, Capabilities, Knowledge, Distributability, and Agents.
• Identify and lead high-impact engineering initiatives spanning multiple teams.
• Serve as the primary technical decision-maker for major architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with Research, Inference, Platform, Infrastructure, and Safeguards to ensure reliable delivery at scale.
• Mentor and develop Staff-level engineers across the org.
• Drive alignment across Product, GTM, Safety, and stakeholders while addressing risks.
