Anthropic Limited is seeking an experienced backend platform engineer to own high-traffic identity and access systems. You will shape policy, authentication, and authorization strategies across Anthropic's products, including API and enterprise services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and operating backend or platform systems at scale.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, JWTs, and workload identity federation.
• Familiarity with policy engines such as Cedar or OPA and RBAC models.

Responsibilities

• Own critical, high-traffic backend systems end to end.
• Define and implement scalable identity and access control policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive platform strategy and reliability.
