Anthropic is seeking a Staff+ Platform Engineer for our Enterprise pillar to design Claude enterprise-ready systems at scale. You will define strategy, lead high-impact initiatives, and set architectural direction with executives and security teams.

Responsibilities include shaping platform primitives and mentoring engineers across the organization to ensure secure, scalable, and governance-aware deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years engineering at Staff or equivalent leadership level.
• Experience in distributed systems and API architecture.
• Experience shaping technical strategy at a Cloud Service Provider or large Enterprise SaaS.
• Strong domain knowledge in security, identity, governance, and connectivity.
• Ability to influence across org boundaries through reasoning and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year technical strategy for foundational enterprise systems, including multi-cloud direction.
• Lead high-complexity, high-impact engineering initiatives spanning multiple teams.
• Serve as a primary technical decision-maker for major architectural decisions with org-wide scope.
• Design platform primitives—identity, permissions, governance, connectivity, and usage data.
• Partner with teams such as Inference, Platform, Customer Success, Infrastructure, and Safeguards on security and privacy.
• Mentor senior engineers and drive alignment across Product, GTM, and Customer Success.
