Job summary

Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the agency's enterprise network. The role covers the full device lifecycle, security systems management, and rooftop installations, aligned with DHS ITIL processes.

This full-time contractual position requires several years of network experience, Cisco device familiarity, and the ability to work within a government IT environment in Baltimore, MD.

Qualifications

• Two years and six months of experience in planning, integrating and maintaining local or wide area computer networks and additional experience developing software or using programming tools.
• ITIL-based ticketing and change management experience is required.
• Experience with deploying and maintaining network devices across lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain and support the agency's enterprise network infrastructure.
• Manage lifecycle of network devices from deployment to disposal in DHS standards.
• Operate security systems (AAA, NAC, firewalls, monitoring) and perform rooftop networking tasks.
