Job summary

DMI is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to support a large Maryland state agency in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on managing the network, providing IT support, and advising site directors on infrastructure decisions.

The position requires eight years in IT with five years specifically in Windows infrastructure and related devices, and an Associate degree or equivalent. On-site multi-location coverage and DHS policy compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in a computer-related field are required.
• Five years of experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of Windows infrastructure and connected devices.
• Associate degree or equivalent education may be substituted with two additional years of specialized experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical advisor to site directors and manage the network.
• Provide in-person and remote IT support including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Guide junior administrators and share LAN management duties.
• Deploy equipment to meet agency needs and ensure DHS policy compliance.
• Maintain documentation and manage accounts, permissions, and identities.
