Job summary

Leidos Enterprise Civil Div. in Lorton, Virginia seeks a Network Engineer to manage end-to-end network installation and configuration for DHS networks, including HSDN and C-LAN.

The role demands deep technical networking knowledge, leadership, and project management across classified and unclassified networks. The successful candidate will lead deployments, coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensure security best practices, document processes, and provide on-call support.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technology field with 8+ years of network engineering experience.
• Strong experience with routers, switches, firewalls and related devices.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of network solutions across multiple locations on time and within budget.
• Oversee installation, configuration, and testing of network hardware and software.
• Coordinate with engineering, deployment and IA teams for smooth integration.
• Ensure design and security best practices with redundancies and scalability.
• Create project plans, manage timelines, and track progress.
• Design and implement LANs, WANs, and data center networks.
• Perform configuration and troubleshooting for optimal performance and security.
• Document deployment processes and troubleshooting logs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
• On-call support for critical emergencies.
