Fivetran is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer for our Enterprise team in Austin. You will own technical evaluations across data lifecycle and demonstrate how the Fivetran + dbt platform enables end‑to‑end data pipelines.

Work with customers to tailor ingestion, transformation, and modeling solutions, deliver compelling technical presentations, and drive proofs of value from data replication to analytics‑ready models.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data replication, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BIStrong technical background covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and modern data warehousing architectures
• Hands‑on experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, and data modeling
• Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses/lakes, transformation tooling (dbt or similar), data catalogs, and BI tools
• Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills; comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments
• Optional Bonus Skills: prior analytics/ETL/BI/open‑source company; dbt Cloud/Core; enterprise data modeling approaches; Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL; self‑hosted software; networking in cloud/on‑premise

Responsabilités

• Understand customer business and data requirements across ingestion, transformation, and modeling
• Develop and deliver technical presentations of the Fivetran + dbt value proposition to Enterprise teams
• Lead technical proof-of-value from ingestion to transformation to secure a win
• Guide dbt Cloud proof-of-concept implementations, including private‑cloud deployments
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align solutions with customer needs and inform roadmap
• Build and maintain executive relationships with Enterprise customers and partners
• Own the technical relationship across pre‑sale to adoption and expansion
• Stay current on trends in data movement, transformation, and analytics
• Be active in the dbt community
