Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Enterprise sales team. You will work with Sales to understand complex data requirements across ingestion, transformation, and modeling, and demonstrate how the Fivetran + dbt platform enables trusted, governed analytics.

You’ll own technical evaluations across the full data lifecycle, from replicating data into the warehouse to transforming it into analytics-ready models with dbt Cloud.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data replication, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI.
• Strong technical background covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and modern data warehousing architectures.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Understand Enterprise customers' data requirements across ingestion, transformation, and modeling.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to Enterprise audiences on the Fivetran + dbt value proposition.
• Lead the proof-of-value process from ingestion through transformation to secure a technical win.
• Guide customers through dbt Cloud PoC implementations, including private-cloud deployments where applicable.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align solutions with Enterprise needs and roadmap.
• Build and maintain relationships with key Enterprise customers and partners (Snowflake, AWS, Databricks).
• Own the technical relationship across the full customer lifecycle from pre-sale to adoption and expansion.
