Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Sales Engineer for our Enterprise team to collaborate with Sales on complex data requirements spanning ingestion, transformation, and modeling. You will demonstrate the combined Fivetran + dbt platform and drive technical proof-of-value across the data lifecycle, including private-cloud deployments as needed.

You will work with Product and Engineering to align solutions with customer needs, maintain executive relationships, and stay ahead of trends in data analytics

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data replication, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI.
• Strong technical background covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and modern data warehousing architectures.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Understand Enterprise customers' business, use cases, and requirements across data replication, transformation, and modeling.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to Enterprise audiences on the Fivetran + dbt value proposition.
• Lead and run proof-of-value spanning ingestion through transformation to secure a technical win.
• Guide customers through dbt Cloud proof-of-concept implementations, including private-cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align solutions with Enterprise needs and inform the dbt Cloud roadmap.
• Maintain relationships with key Enterprise customers and partners (Snowflake, AWS, Databricks).
• Own the technical relationship from pre-sale evaluation to adoption and expansion.
• Stay current on trends in data movement, transformation, and analytics engineering; participate in dbt community.
