Job summary

Cengage is seeking a high-energy enterprise sales professional to drive new business within a large account landscape in the United States. You will own the end-to-end cycle for 2,000+ employee organizations, building pipeline, engaging CISOs and CIOs, and negotiating complex deals with a focus on cybersecurity and enterprise SaaS solutions.

Strong collaboration with marketing and product teams is expected as you develop penetration strategies, manage multiple opportunities, and forecast

Qualifications

• 3+ years of B2B sales experience focused on new business.
• Experience selling cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise tech solutions.
• Experience engaging C-level executives (CISO, CIO, CTO).
• Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple opportunities.
• Track record of meeting/exceeding quotas in high-growth settings.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Experience with Salesforce and sales engagement platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of new business acquisition within enterprise territory (2,000+ employees).
• Develop and complete account penetration strategies to break into net-new organizations.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities through proactive prospecting.
• Identify and engage key collaborators, including CISO, CIO, CTO and other senior leaders.
• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from engagement to close.
• Position and articulate the value of InfoSec solutions in terms of risk and resilience.
• Drive deal strategy, pricing, and contract negotiations per guidelines.
• Maintain pipeline management and forecasting with clear deal progression.
• Be self-motivated, independent, and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
