Job summary

Robinhood in Menlo Park, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Build team, developing enterprise-grade AI-enabled services with strong security and compliance standards.

You will design, build, and ship scalable backend and AI-powered workflows, working closely with Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance partners to translate real-world processes into reliable software. This role emphasizes end-to-end ownership and in-person collaboration at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems end-to-end.
• Hands-on cloud depth with GCP, containers, CI/CD, and infra-as-code.
• Experience building AI-native or agentic workflows and reviewing AI-generated code.
• Strong product sense: identify the 20% of a prototype worth keeping.
• Exceptional communication with non-engineers in finance, legal, or HR.
• Experience in highly regulated industries, especially finance/fintech, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess prototypes across the company and decide whether to harden, rebuild, or redirect.
• Design, build, and ship services on enterprise platforms meeting security and reliability standards.
• Develop AI-native capabilities: agents, MCP servers, and production artifacts.
• Collaborate with sponsoring business units throughout each build.
• Deliver clear handoffs: runbooks, evals, and dashboards.
• Establish scalable patterns and platform capabilities for repeated problems.
