Job summary

Decagon in San Francisco is seeking a Customer Engineer, Agent Builder, to own end-to-end execution of AI agent builds for strategic customers. This highly technical delivery role partners with customers and internal teams to define success, translate requirements into build plans, and deliver agents that meaningfully impact the customer’s business.

You’ll work closely with Agent PMs, Engineering, and GTM teams to create tight feedback loops, surface gaps, and influence the evolution of

Qualifications

5+ years in a technical customer-facing role.
Strong technical foundation: writing code, APIs, and end-to-end integrations.
Ability to communicate clearly with senior technical stakeholders.
Comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you shape solutions.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end execution of AI agent builds for enterprise customers, from initial scoping through launch and iteration.
Write and maintain key agent-building artifacts and configure agent behavior for quality and reliability.
Configure and validate guardrails to ensure safe, compliant agent performance.
Set up, test, and validate customer integrations with existing systems.
