Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office training preferred.
• Experience in medical scheduling, preferably ENT or surgical settings.
• Knowledge of surgical terminology and insurance authorization processes.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures for ENT patients accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate pre-operative instructions and required documentation.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations.
• Coordinate with billing, clinical, anesthesia, and lab teams.
• Maintain and update patient records in the EMR system.
• Manage surgical schedules to optimize OR utilization.
• Serve as a point of contact for surgery-related inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and address patient concerns professionally.
